
OUR STORY
MWAH Barley Milk was born out of a desire to make drinking plant-based milk a
pleasure.
Sean Willard, Pharmacist and entrepreneur, has spent over 35 years in the healthcare
industry, both as a retail pharmacist, trainer and NPD consultant to
multinational health supplement companies.
My son, Nathan, was the main instigator in getting us to choose ‘lactose free’ options across the shopping aisles and soon, both he and Tegan, started choosing more environmentally friendly options such as Oat & Almond milks.
Enter Dad…. Houston, we have a problem!
I was all good with the Lactose Free options
but couldn’t stomach (pun intended) the taste of 99% of plant-based milks on the market.
I saw that there was a potential gap (solution waiting to happen) in the market, but it had to tick a few boxes for me:
1. Great taste - not negotiable!
2. Great foam – I didn’t want to have to buy one option for food/cereals/smoothies and another ‘barista’ version for my cuppachino or tea.
3. Great Nutri with a unique USP – not the same old, same old.
